So, I made these before I realized that we had to properly request techniques. Arty already said he approved them but in light of recent talks in help desk and mechanics I want to send these back through the wringer to ensure they are above board or refine them if need be.
Technique Name: Crushing Jaws | Power
Release Required: Shikai
Skill Clashes: If subdued - Hoho, Hierro, Blut (Defense) | If true - Regen, Hierro , Kaido, Blut (Defence), Healing Skill, Support Skill
Description: The execution of this technique is the same in principle whether Rei has released properly or used the "tamer" version of his power. He forms his hands into the shape of the upper and lower jaws of a beast, activates his ability on his palms and swiftly brings them together. When subdued this pushes the reishi between his palms together along with the strike, which starts the crushing sensation several inches before his hands actually make contact with the opponent. When his power is released fully, the technique becomes much more simple, and that much more devastating. Since his true shikai disintegrates and disperses reishi, this generally smashes through barriers caught between the "jaws", burns away inherent defenses in the body, and leaves a smoking wound that does not easily heal.
Technique Name: Superiority | Power
Release Required: Shikai
Skill Clashes: If subdued - Hado, Bakudo, Offensive Spellcasting, Binding Skill | If true - Regen, Hierro , Kaido, Blut (Defence), Healing Skill, Support Skill, Hado, Bakudo, Offensive Spellcasting, Binding Skill
Description: This is actually a technique that Rei favors more when used in its subdued state, if only because it allows him more options. He activates his ability primarily on the palms of his hands and the soles of his feet to shape and warp the reishi he can get his hands on. Mainly this involves scooping chunks of the environment or the air itself into his hands and launching it at his opponent. It truly shines when he is faced with an enemy that favors spellcasting of a sort, as he can grab the reishi of their attack or binding and deflect it or send it right back on the caster. When fully released, it has more of a defensive quality, allowing him to simply break apart those spells harmlessly before moving in to strike with those corroding hands of his.
